Our Cornish Surfing group lessons are our original offering and are suitable for beginners or for those that have had a few previous lessons and want to practice and improve their skills.
All of our sessions currently start at our base on Dinham farm where we have free parking and where we get kitted up before hopping in the big blue minibus, cranking up the tunes, and heading down to Polzeath beach, a 10 min drive away. Polzeath is the perfect place to learn to surfing due to the consistent spilling waves. We plan our lessons around the low tide as this is when we can find space on the beach as the bay widens.
Our lessons include all of the equipment you will need; a 4:3 wetsuit and boots, a Vision soft top Surfboard of a suitable size, and a Cornish Surfing rash vest to make you look extra cool! You are guided by two experienced instructors who will make sure you are safe, have fun, and hopefully get you standing up!
There is space for up to 12 people on these sessions and they are popular with family groups and small groups of friends. Having two instructors makes sure everybody get sufficient attention and we can cater to differing abilities. Hopefully you will make some friends to share the experience with in you group!
Cornish Surfing Small Group Lessons
If you are in a small group of up to 5 people and want to have your own group lesson this is the package for you and your family or friends! The format is the same of our classic lessons, meet at base, get kitted up and shuttle to the beach. You will then have your own instructor for your group who will teach the lesson to your group’s ability and make sure you catch all the waves!
Cornish Surfing Private Lessons
If you prefer you can have a private lesson with your very own Cornish Surfing Instructor! This is especially appealing for individuals and couples who really want to get the most out of a private lesson. This is suitable for beginner to intermediate surfers.
